Live opens a conversation room inside Cockpit without requiring a project, mission, or agent. Live is a pilot with two-person rooms.
#Join and invite
- Open Live. Your license signs you in with your Cockpit account; no separate login.
- Test microphone and camera before joining. Choose New room or I have an invitation. Keep this room adds it to your list.
- Under Invite, copy, share, renew, or revoke the invitation. Invitations last 15 minutes and work once.
Guests enter only the Live room. They gain no access to files, projects, terminals, or agents.
#During a call
- Voice with volume and microphone controls; camera is optional.
- Share screen uses the browser picker. Switch changes the shared window or tab without stopping the stream.
- Chat opens alongside the stage. Up to 100 messages per room are stored for up to 24 hours.
- The speaker has a green ring. Red crossed-out controls are off; white controls are on.
- Short sounds signal joins, departures, and messages when chat is closed. Disable them in audio settings.
- System Picture-in-Picture keeps video or a voice card above other apps, with microphone, camera, and hang-up controls.
#The call follows you
Outside Live, a dock floats above the interface, including the menu. Drag it anywhere or move with arrow keys (Shift for larger steps):
- Video: the call stage in a window.
- Capsule: avatar, name, duration, microphone, show video, minimize, and leave.
- Bubble: voice only, with a speaker ring. Tap to return to the capsule.
During calls, the Live menu shows Live, and the browser tab title includes the call duration.

#Privacy and limitations
- Voice and screen sharing travel directly between participants over WebRTC. The Live service manages rooms and chat without receiving or recording media. Cockpit does not record calls.
- Direct connections may expose public IP addresses to participants. Some networks block them, preventing calls from connecting.
- Leaving stops capture and releases microphone, camera, and screen.
- Browsers require a secure context:
http://localhostlocally, or HTTPS. For access from another machine, enable HTTPS or use an SSH tunnel to localhost. Without an allowed origin, Live opens in its own window.
