Usage

Office

Office in the sidebar (Alt+1) shows your team as pixel art characters, even without an open project. It includes the full Habblaud 1.0.2 project, open source under the MIT license.

#What you see

  • Cockpit agents appear automatically. Missions in the same directory share a room, and Maestro and specialists reflect the real team hierarchy.
  • Status and tasks come from the supervisor and run history. Animation never marks work approved or complete.
  • Agents needing you raise a hand with Reply in terminal.
  • Open terminal shows the existing Cockpit session in a dialog. Closing it does not stop the agent. New agent opens Cockpit's creation flow.
  • Messages go through Cockpit, distinguishing queued from delivered. Neither means the task is complete.
  • Tokens, tools, and costs use real Claude Code and Codex records. Missing measurements are shown as unavailable, never zero.

#Full Habblaud and compact view

The full view includes office, details, tasks, feed, characters, sounds, notifications, themes, history, My day, and timelapse. My day and timelapse record from when Office opens, without estimating earlier activity.

Compact view uses Cockpit's scene, team status list, project filter, and Needs attention. List only hides the scene; Pause animations freezes motion. With the system's reduced-motion setting, Office starts paused.

#Sessions outside Cockpit

Habblaud can also read external Claude Code and Codex sessions. For their messages, permissions, and quotas:

  1. Open Office → Integrations and help to check callbacks, terminal, dictation, and World compatibility.
  2. Select Connect Claude Code or Connect Codex, then Verify Claude or Verify Codex.
  3. Approve Codex hooks in /hooks yourself. For existing Claude sessions, use /reload-plugins.

Hooks use a local-only address, port 4747 by default (HABBLAUD_CALLBACK_PORT changes it). Habblaud dictation uses Cockpit's local Whisper.

#Habblaud World

The online city is free but requires an account and waitlist on the official service. No account is created automatically. Only Claude Code and Codex agents enter the city; other agents remain in the local office. Disable with HABBLAUD_WORLD=0.
